Early Promos for Ostraca: Re-membering Sophie/Re-membering Me, formerly The Darkest Country and Other Stories

Editing in Mallorca, summer 2018.

It was the spring of 2018, and I was living on the Spanish island of Mallorca. I had just completed the umpteenth draft of what would ultimately become Ostraca: Re-memebering Sophie/ Re-membering Me. It was a sunny afternoon and I was proudly bounding about the terrace of the villa I had lived in that winter, holding tight to a sheaf of freshly edited pages.

They say seven is a critical number. Some of the most pivotal events in our lives occur in cycles of seven. Seven years after these pictures were taken, the formerly self-published, The Darkest Country and Other Stories will be published as Ostraca: Re-membering Sophie/Re-membering Me by Vine Leaves Press.
