The recent death of D’Angelo has me thinking a lot about music. I just discovered Tina Bell, a Black female musician from Seattle who was one of the critical ground-layers of Grunge music. Below, an exceptional piece by YouTuber, Life Lurker, on Bell’s life, contribution, and her erasure from contemporary American music history. The manner in which this creative powerhouse died is particularly tragic.
